Joseph Morelle Jr. is a life-long resident of the Town of Irondequoit. He represents the Monroe County Legislature's 17th Legislative District, roughly the southern half of Irondequoit. He serves as the Ranking Minority Member on the Ways and Means committee and is also a member of the Public Safety committee.
Joseph is a leasing agent for Wilmorite Management Group, a Rochester-based real estate development company. A graduate of Eastridge High School, he holds a degree in business from SUNY Geneseo and is a proud homeowner in Irondequoit.
Early in life, Joseph learned the value of public service from his father, state Assembly Majority Leader Joseph Morelle, and his mother, Mary Beth, a teacher with the East Irondequoit School District for 22 years. Joseph's record of volunteerism on behalf of his community includes work with the Wilmot Cancer Center as well as the Al Sigl Center. He is the Founding Chairman of the Al Sigl Council, the young professional volunteer and fundraising division of the Al Sigl Community of Agencies.
Joseph is a life-long parishioner at the Peace of Christ Parish in Irondequoit and a proud member of the Kiwanis Club of Irondequoit.
