Rochester, New York – August 7, 2012. Several Monroe County Legislators are participating in National Night Out events this evening to promote community efforts to fight crime. National Night Out is an event held in communities around the country encouraging neighborhood spirit and police-community relations.
Legislator John Lightfoot (D-Rochester), who will be participating in the National Night Out event being hosted by the Southwest Common Council and the Southwest Quadrant, said, “These events are an important reminder that we must always redouble our efforts to strengthen relationships between communities and police.
